Kristina and Carl were a dream to work with from the beginning. They came to me through a friend of theirs who’s wedding I photographed over four years ago. I was so excited to work with these two. We hit if off from the beginning. Kristina and Carl had a great vision with all of the perfect elements -not only was it a plantation wedding (always gorgeous!); but they wanted their wedding to be fun, special and intimate with lots of details that had meaning. And best of all, they wanted their photographs to really document their day for what it was, with a journalistic approach.
A Plantation Wedding…
This Vero Beach plantation wedding had all the feels. There were so many moments of laughter, joy, tears, dancing and more that were happening at every turn. The weather and light could not have been more perfect for an outdoor wedding space at the gorgeous Bellewood Planation. If you haven’t visited there, well, you should! It’s a really great venue for all kinds of events. I love how peaceful Kristina and Carl’s day was and how beautiful everything turned out. The wedding planner, Melissa Patrick, pulled everything together just perfectly.
Most of their details were made by or put together by loved ones – from the bar, the bunting, a ring box, gift box, signs and even the officiant was the groom’s best friend. The veil was even something borrowed from a close friend (who’s wedding I shot four years ago!). The vintage tea cups were collected by Kristina and her family from around the world and used as wedding favors with goodies and tea inside. And there were several fun and special traditions incorporated throughout the day. A meaningful and intimate outdoor wedding for sure.
I am so thankful to Kristina and Carl for choosing me to document their wedding day in Vero Beach. It was such a pleasure working with them and their families. Gorgeous day for a gorgeous couple!
